Elaina Jackson Earns Accreditation in Public Relations 
Elaina Jackon, APRElaina Jackson of Brandon, director of marketing at the Mississippi Children’s Museum in Jackson, has earned her accreditation in public relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board. The APR certification program recognizes public relations practitioners who demonstrate broad knowledge, experience and professional judgment and are committed to the ethical practice of PR. APR candidates must complete a written submission, present a portfolio of work to a readiness review panel of public relations veterans and demonstrate their PR knowledge, skills and abilities by passing a computer-based exam. Jackson is a graduate of Belhaven University, where she obtained a master’s degree in management and a bachelor of science degree in mass communications. She is a member of the central chapter of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi. Public Relations Association of Mississippi Names Susan Christiansen as Professional Achievement Award Recipient The Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM) recently honored public relations practitioners from around the state for outstanding work and service to the profession. The awards were announced during PRAM’s state conference held March 17-18, 2011, in Biloxi. Susan Christensen, APR, received the organization’s Professional Achievement Award. Christensen is the director of public relations for Methodist Rehabilitation Center. In addition to her busy career, Christensen became accredited in public relations in 2008. She has served on various positions on the PRAM Central Board and has received numerous awards for her work. The Professional Achievement Award is given annually to a public relations practitioner and PRAM member whose accomplishments have made a major contribution to the profession. It is PRAM's top honor and recognizes excellence in the field of public relations. Recipients embody the highest degree of professionalism, serve their communities, are committed to advancing the profession and have outstanding achievements in the practice of public relations.
