President's Message
Whether this is your first time learning about our organization or you are a long-time member, welcome to PRAM Central! PRAM Central has served PR and communications professionals as the top source for networking, continuing education and professional development in Central Mississippi for nearly seventy years. While "PR" is in the name, you will find our members' skills run the full spectrum of communications, from media relations to graphic design, video and photography to social media. I hope to see you soon at one of our monthly chapter meetings, networking social events or volunteer opportunities!
My Story
My name is Sophie McNeil Wolf, and I am proud to be your 2024 PRAM Central President. I have been involved with PRAM Central for over fourteen years, first joining PRAM Central fresh out of college at my first job. Why is PRAM Central important? I often tell people, "You get what you put in." Over the years, I have made many connections and friends that I call on often for support and advice. Chapter meetings have caused me to think and even reevaluate how I look at my work. The job bank has been an important connection point for me, both when considering a change and when I was looking for hires. As I move through the APR process, having a study group has helped push me and encourage me when I wasn't sure I had the energy to move forward. There is no question that each of these things has helped me become a better communications practitioner. It can be nerve-wracking to join a new group, but I hope you'll take that leap and connect with us, either for the first time or after a break.
